In 2018, a group of Western Sydney Pacific Islander kids started writing raps in a community centre in an attempt to get away from street life. Their distinct version of Drill rap tells an unfamiliar Australian story: one of street crime, youth violence and police brutality.

It immediately captures the attention of a global audience, shattering records and putting Onefour and Australian hip hop on the global map. It also captures the attention of the police, and they find themselves in the centre of a culture war – being shut down by counter-terror cops, while simultaneously being lauded as the most significant musicians of their time.
